From representing Nigeria on the international stage to winning championships in the Philippines, 24-year-old Aisha Bello is building an inspiring career through volleyball, education, and entrepreneurship.
Born on November 25, 2001, and originally from Adavi, Kogi State, Nigeria, Aisha has continued to make strides with the NU Lady Bulldogs at National University Manila, balancing competitive volleyball with her university education and her growing activewear business, Bellofit.

From Ilorin to the Volleyball Court
Aisha’s sporting journey began in Ilorin, Kwara State, where basketball first introduced her to the sporting environment. However, she eventually discovered a deeper passion for volleyball.
She developed her skills with Kwara United Volleyball Club before progressing to represent Nigeria in the Under-20 national volleyball team.
Her journey eventually took her to the Philippines, where she now plays as a middle blocker for the NU Lady Bulldogs at National University Manila
Championship Success in the Philippines
Aisha’s dedication to volleyball has been accompanied by significant team achievements.
As a member of the NU Lady Bulldogs, she has celebrated back-to-back UAAP championship gold medals in Seasons 86 and 87, as well as four consecutive Shakey’s Super League championship titles.
These milestones form an important part of her journey as she continues to develop her game and pursue greater opportunities in volleyball.
More Than an Athlete
Away from the volleyball court, Aisha is currently in her final year at National University Manila, pursuing a degree in Physical Education.
She hopes to build a professional international volleyball career, continue representing Nigeria, and eventually earn a master’s degree in Sports Management.
Her journey reflects the challenge of balancing high-level sport with education and preparing for opportunities beyond the court.
From the Volleyball Court to Entrepreneurship
Aisha’s ambitions extend beyond sports. Her interest in fitness and fashion inspired her to launch Bellofit, her activewear brand, last year.
Bellofit offers customised athletic wear, including sports bras, yoga tops, gym sets, and other fitness clothing.
While pursuing her volleyball career and completing her degree, Aisha is also working towards growing Bellofit into a recognised sportswear brand.
Outside her commitments, she enjoys working out, styling concepts, reading, browsing shopping apps, and listening to Burna Boy, Drake, and BNXN.
Looking Ahead
Aisha hopes to continue competing internationally, represent Nigeria, advance her education, and expand Bellofit.
She also hopes to build a family with a supportive partner in the future, believing that career and family can coexist and that everything has its time.
Her journey is a reminder that an athlete can pursue several ambitions while continuing to grow both personally and professionally.
